Our luggage was delivered yesterday evening so that concludes our trip officially. It was amazing adventure. On to the next one..... Onze koffers zijn gisteravond afgeleverd dus daarmee is onze trip officieel ten einde. Het was een prachtig avontuur. Op naar de volgende.....

Finally home but luggage is still in Paris, probably because of the delay. We missed our connecting KLM flight to Amsterdam and were rebooked on an Air France flight. Grand Canyon West
Located inside the Hualapai Reservation, outside of Grand Canyon National Park, close to Las Vegas. Amazing views, also along the way. We did walk the Skywalk ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Canyon_Skywalk ) and looked over a kilometre into the canyon, no pictures allowed so no visible proof....
Hoover Dam
Visit to Hoover Dam, crossing the Nevada-Arizona border and going one hour ahead to Mountain Standard Time. Bezoek aan Hoover Dam, de grens tussen Nevada en Arizona overstekend en één uur vooruit naar Mountain Standard Time.

Badwater Basin
Lowest point in North America at 86 meters below sea level. As a result of August 2023 flash floods, a temporary shallow lake formed in the basin. Amazing vista
A viewpoint terrace at 1669 metres height, giving a panoramic view on the southern part of the basin. Een uitzichtpunt op 1669 meter hoogte, biedt een panoramisch uitzicht over het zuidelijke deel van het bekken.

After a quiet and enjoyable drive we arrived in our hotel in Las Vegas (actually Paradise) with a view on Harry Reid International Airport. Na een rustige en plezierige rit zijn we aangekomen in ons hotel in Las Vegas (eigenlijk Paradise) met een uitzicht op Harry Reid International Airport.
